As the colors of the leaves turn into red , brown, yellow and orange shades, change becomes as visual and as inevitable as ever.

Change in weather, change in our lifestyle, change everywhere we look ahhh the C-word…

I definitely have a love-hate relationship with change and in loving times I embrace it with all I’ve got, especially when it comes to My Fro.

As the autumn leaves are falling, it was time for my hair to fall (pun intended).

I have to say it took some getting used to, but I’m totally enjoying it and my scissor happy self is as satisfied as ever.

I got a lot of questions as to WHYYYY I decided to do a second big chop.. and the answer is simple: because I wanted to.

My number one ingredient will and always has been love, when it comes to  my hair. Not length or curl pattern or anything else, just love.

Of course, there have been a few comments and suggestions. Some saying that I should wear a lot more make-up, or wear bold lipstick and bold accessories, just because my hair is shorter. Some have even gone to the lengths of advising me to wear more feminin clothes. It all sounds a bit more like: now that your hair is shorter, you need to put more effort into looking like a woman. Oooh #LeStruggle

..BUT like I once said:

A woman’s hair, whether short or long, when rocked by her identity is her crown and glory.

I’ll keep you posted on my new hair regimen and my go to style when it comes to my short hair.

LOVE always,

Hey Friends, I’m Marion, I’m a Ghanaian woman living in Germany. I have a story to tell that goes way beyond hair. I’m a writer, a poet, a blogger, an advocate for self love, an adventuress, a creator. Impregnated with creativity and ready to give birth. Myfrolover now is not just a natural hair blog. It’s my blog, my place. A place where I write about my life poetic and editorial, where I write about self-love and self care, A place where I stimulate your eyes with visual creativity and your mind with thoughts that run deeper than the ocean. It’s a place where you can come for a good laugh (I consider myself to be a funny person, weird but funny nevertheless) A place to help you with your hair dilemmas and for natural hair tips A place for knowing about and seeing other creatives, authors, artists, rule breakers, game changers A place that documents my journey through this thing called life But most of all, a place that shows and tells you you are worth it. You are precious. You are loved. Love always, Marion
