Seven tips for Spring

In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty six different kinds of weather inside of four and twenty hours.

We all know how beautiful spring is, the trees look more greener the smell of regrowth fills the air we see cherry blossoms everywhere and summer just seems so close …

Wait a minute before I get all dreamy on you. Spring as beautiful as it is is also pretty deceiving.. Have you ever experienced a day where you had summer, winter and autumn all at once ? Yep it’s called spring.

Mark Twain’s perception of spring is therefore highly accurate. I’ve had plenty of moments where I was dressed either way too warm ( which is necessarily not a bad thing, unless you’re wearing a winter jacket with UGGs while everyone else is wearing a light jacket with pumps, that’s when you should hurry up and go home and act like it never happened) or either way too cold.

Either way, that can not only make you feel uncomfortable, it can also make you sick and yes I’m talking about myself right now

It’s the same thing with our hair, Natural haircare, as exhausting as it can be is essential for hair growth and healthy hair.

As seven is the number of completion I thought it might be fun to give you seven tips, let’s get to it, shall we?

1. Heavy oils and butters

Spring is not summer yet so it might get a bit colder sometimes. Do not forget your heavy oils such as Castor oil and your Shea Butter that kept your hair protected, moisturized and warm during those cold winter days.


2. Freelancing Fro

Let your hair breathe once in a while. Even though it’s great to tuck your ends in and protect your hair.

Your hair will appreciate it a lot when you just let it lose, wether it’s a TWA (Teenie Weenie Afro) or a big one, wether it’s just letting your locs dangle or even a wash and go, let it breathe


3. Play with accessories

There are so many hair accessories that we can chose from. Sometimes it’s not even meant for your hair (yes, I’m talking to everyone including myself  who use their scarf as an accessory there is no shame in that it’s called creativity)

Whether it’s a headband, headscarf, turban or even flowers. Just try it out, there’s no pain in trying.

4. Water, WATER W A T E R!!!

Water for your body AND water for your hair
The benefits of drinking water are clear
Having water in your products benefits you and makes every day a good awesome amaazing okay now I’m overdoing it hair day
Look for that magic ingredient Aqua
In your moisturizer once you’ve made sure it’s there you’re definitely good to go!

5. Work out

Spring means summer is veery close
If you’re like me and you’ve been procrastinating your workout time
(Yes I’m also talking to myself right now)
Just Stop

And do something
It doesn’t have to be a full hour (if you can do it , I’m not sure my body is ready for that yet)
But just invest a little time
It will turn into a habit

6. Try something new

You’ve always been too scared to do the BC? Just do it!

You don’t do twist outs or Bantu knots because you feel like you can’t ? Just do it!

I dare you to do something you haven’t done to your hair before and if at first you don’t succeed you can dust it off and try again dust it all off and try again try again..Aaliyah already said it all.

7.Wear a smile

A smile is a woman’s best accessory her most beautiful curve is on her face!
